About

Ian Liew

I started out as a builder. Computer Science degree, hands on keyboards, making things work. That foundation never left — it just grew to include bigger systems, more complex stakeholders, and higher stakes.

Over 20 years I've worked across consulting, startups, and large enterprise — in Melbourne, Sydney, Houston, Hong Kong, and Shanghai. I've led data platform builds, enterprise migrations, automation deployments, and agentic AI programs. The common thread isn't the technology; it's the job of translating what an organisation needs to become into something that actually exists and runs.

What I've learned is that transformation fails at the seams — between strategy and delivery, between the system and the people who use it. The technology is rarely the hard part. The hard part is designing the journey: what gets built when, how teams adopt it, what "done" actually means at each stage. I architect both sides.

Today I'm a Director at Deloitte, working on AI-driven transformation programs. I lead architecture, delivery, and release — turning emerging technology into capabilities that organisations can actually operate and scale.
